Post-Mormon Pen Pal
Terms of Service & Privacy policy
Post-Mormon Pen Pal is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any religious organization.
Content of letters is personal opinion for peer support; it is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. For emergencies, contact local emergency services or relevant hotlines.
Post-Mormon Pen Pal is for adults 18+ only. We may refuse or end correspondence at our discretion to protect safety or privacy.
Threats or encouragement of self-harm, threats toward others, harassment/stalking/doxxing, hate speech, sexually explicit or coercive content, scams, or requests for money are strictly prohibited.
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, the program and all letters or communications are provided “as is.” We do not provide medical, psychological, legal, or crisis services. We are not liable for: (a) loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data; (b) indirect, consequential, special, or exemplary loss; or (c) delays, loss, or damage caused by postal or email service providers. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or deliberate misconduct, or limits any rights you may have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We collect and securely store the details you submit in your sign up form and our correspondence to personalize and deliver letters. Digital records are protected with strong passwords and 2FA; paper letters are stored securely.
We do not sell your data. We will not post or publish any information from your letters without written consent. We may disclose personal information to prevent or lessen a serious threat to life or health, or to comply with law. Some services we use are based overseas (e.g., email/form providers); by using this program you consent to necessary cross-border transfers.
You can request access to or correction of your information at any time by emailing postmormonpenpal@gmail.com.
If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable.
